The Drive
From Kigali, take RN4 north through Musanze. The drive passes through tea plantations, bamboo forests, and the dramatic Virunga volcanic landscape. Most roads are tarmac, but sections around the park HQ benefit from a 4x4, especially in rainy season (March–May, Oct–Nov).
